Previously, I’d claws-mail installed on Linux but now I’m back on Windows XP.
Does anyone know where I should place my email boxes? I tried placing them within here but Claws-mail didn’t seem to load the email messages from them:
F:\Documents and Settings\User\Application Data\Claws-mail\Mailboxes
Oops… this should have been posted under “Help”.
Sorry about that.
A thing you could do it start Claws Mail in Windows, setup a new account when the wizard comes. Once it’s done, see where the config and mailbox files have been created (for the mailbox, you can decide where), and remove those ones, move yours in those locations. Of course if the mailbox location is not standard you might need to edit the
accountrc file to point to it.
Thank you, I managed to get Claws-mail to recognise my emails. Too bad it crashes everytime I try to receive mail, though.
Version version 3.0.0-rc2 .
I presume it’s got to do with the large volumes of mail. I just got back from a 2 to 3 month hiatus from computers and there were hundreds of emails waiting for me.
You could confirm that by doing a small retrieval session.
BTW, there are few testing (unofficial) packages in my personal d/l location:
http://www.mollux.org/projects/contrib/claws-mail/tmp/gpg4win/
The latest there is:
gpg4win-1.9.0-svn573-claws-mail-3.0.2cvs99+.exe,
which is a svn build of gpg4win plus claws-mail 3.0.2cvs99 and some patches.
How would you limit the retrieval session? I tried pressing “Cancel” and the whole client crashed.
Thanks for the link. Will look at it later.
