The actual Debian stable release Bookworm ships an old version of GnuPG from the 2.2 release branch. Meanwhile 2.4 has been stable for more than two years and the 2.5 developer version is making progress with interesting new features, at least for experiments and experts (or interested average users).
Last December I started to create Debian style packages and a Debian style repository. This is an experimental project, thus I’m careful not to interfere with the distribution’s setup.
