Run Kleopatra as administrator

Every time I open Kleopatra (not as admin) I get the message (see screenshot).
So how could I see and manage other users keys?
Thanks.

Hi Dan!

Could you please translate the error message into English? And as always please tell us which version of Gpg4win you are using

Do you want to use Gpg4win/Kleopatra to manage keys for different Windows accounts so the keys are located in different folders?

Best regards,
Christoph

Sorry for that, I attach English popup message.

First I really do NOT run Kleopatra as administrator.

Moreover I do not understand "copy the ‘AppData\Roaming\gnupg’ directory with proper permissions.

How? Which are the ‘proper permissions’? Where should I copy that folder to?

Gnu4win version: 4.0.3
Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.19044.1826]

Thanks

Hi,
part of your infos should be here
https://wiki.gnupg.org/Gpg4win/RunAsUser

maybe you did something activate Administration rights when starting Kleopatra?

| Moreover I do not understand "copy the ‘AppData\Roaming\gnupg’ directory with proper permissions.
| How?

The idea is: You want to manage keys for other users, then you should run Kleopatra/GnuPG
as user without administration rights. This will work on the pubkey and private key stores
which are usually saved in ‘AppData\Roaming\gnupg’ for this user.
(There is a way to specify a different directory of course.)

| Which are the ‘proper permissions’? Where should I copy that folder to?

A user that wants to operate on the pubkey store files (for example) needs to have the filesystem
permissions to read and write those files. So if you want to fill the store and then give it to 5 users,
you do this as one user and then copy the files to the others and make sure that each time the file permissions are set in a way that those users can operate on the files.

No, as I wrote, I really do NOT run Kleopatra as administrator so I do not understand the meaning of that pop-up message.
I simply click once on the Kleopatra Icon and that’s all.
Obviously if I open the program as Administrator then the pop-up message shows up as well.
Anyhow I click on “continue” and all is working as expected.
Thanks.

Then it puzzles me as well.
For what ever reason Kleopatra believes it was run with administration rights.
If stuff works for your, then you can try it. And we’ll see if other people get a similar message
.
