Hello,
when downloading pgp4win2.0.0 I get a virus warning from Trend Micro Office Scan. The VIrus name is “PAK_Generic.001”.
When installing gpg4win the virus scanner identifies libdecore.dll as infected and renames it.

So it doesn’t look like it would be wise to down load ver 2 just yet then.
By the way, the bug links don’t seem to work, or is it me?

Hello!
I would recommend the usual steps with a possible false positive: Inform the software producer about
it.
Sophos Anti-Virus and both scanners used by G-Data have no problems with the file.
And whenever in doubt: There are several online-file scanners available (but because of the
fie size virustotal.com did not accept it).

Hello,
I´ve opened a call at the “TrendLabs EMEA AV Service Team”.

gpg4win2.0.1 (at) win2k sp4: sophos virus protection 9.0.4 generates a warning concerning dirmngr.exe und puts file under quarantine. There are outlook crashes and very long response times. Work-around may be to remove dirmngr.exe from quarantine zone.
Hello!
I always check my downloaded files - and I am
sure Sophos and G Data AntiVirus 2010 did not
find anything.
I just rechecked Gpg4win-2.0.1.exe (file version
2.0.1.1296, 36.557.658 Bytes, 2009-11-18) twice
without any warning or even positive finding
using Sophos Endpoint Security and Control 9.0.4
(german) with Detection Engine 3.5.4,
(and the following I just copied and didn’t
translate it:)
Erkennungsdaten 4.51G
Datum der Virendaten 2010-03-01
Objekte erkannt 1459282
Erkennungsdateien 312
Version der HIPS-Regeln 3.1.9
Version der HIPS-Konfiguration 1.0.4
Letztes Update 2010-03-26 08:57:04
Nevertheless - if Sophos found something I am not
sure about I always send it to Sophos using their
web-form to check that file and I really
recommend to do so in this case too.
