Outlook 2010 plugin and Word engine editor

Hello all,

I was reading the following information about GpgOL Outlook extension https://www.gpg4win.org/doc/en/gpg4win-compendium_33.html
and i see:

  1. To send encrypted messages using Outlook, you have to ensure that you do not use Microsoft Word to compose messages.

  2. It is also recommended that you do not use HTML messages.

Does it is also valid for Outolok 2010? as i see in this link: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/office_2010-outlook/can-i-turn-off-word-as-the-email-editor-in-outlook/d25fb752-4ff4-4aa0-9d6f-b07c3efc09d2?auth=1

unlike previous versions of Outlook, you are not actually in Word; Outlook 2010 has a completely new editor which only makes use of the Word 2010 rendering engine.

Thank in advance.

Salento

Hi,

This information is Outdated. The Word Editor was only a thing in Outlook 2003.

We have it on our Todo to update the documentation for Outlook 2010 and later versions. But currently we are changing some things in the development version ( https://wiki.gnupg.org/Gpg4win/Testversions ) so this is still subject to change.

Sorry for the outdated info.

Regards,
Andre

Ok thank you.
have a nice day.
