I know there are a lot of topics related, but all of them are about previous verions.
I installed gpg4win-2.2.5 in my Windows 8.1 x64 (Portuguese-BR) successfully but when I try to open Kleopatra nothing happens.
Looking at windows task manager I noticed that dllhost.exe is launched, after some seconds, kleopatra.exe, then is closed with no error msg.
I’ve tried some early versions with no success as well.
I have other computer in the same features (Win 8.1 x64 PT-BR) that it runs perfectly.
Does someone know how to fix it?
I’ve alread tried to clean up the host file and checked about environment variables. I’m sure to run the installer and Kleopatra with administrator rights.
Thank you.
I can’t generate log information.
I followed all steps but not file is generated.
Could you help me?

Thank you again Bernhard, but
there’s no entry in my host file. I had xampp installed but I removed all host entries.
Following the entire content of my host file:
–BEGIN
Copyright (c) 1993-2009 Microsoft Corp.
This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each
entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should
be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.
The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one
space.
Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual
lines or following the machine name denoted by a ‘#’ symbol.
I can’t start the Dbus daemon… all ports I’ve tried give the same msg:
Failed to start message bus: Failed to bind socket “localhost:6922”: Address already in use
I checked netstat and there’s no application using that door.
I’ve stoped the Kespersky IS and disabled windows firewall but the same msg is showed. Checked again the host file, and there’s no entry.
Rafael,
good to know you could solve your problem.
Did you identify, which application was blocking the port for dbus-daemon?
Best Regards,
Bernhard

I really don’t know… but those “#” shoud work as commentary in host file?
I end up deleting host file… restarting the system, and voilá… it’s working now… even with Kaspersky Internet Security running…
At least the file itself say that tailing #s should indicate comment lines.
So maybe after you did “remove host entries” as you wrote, all it take was a restart to updated the system. Anyway, it must have to do with what you did change.
