Is there a way to bypass passphrase - we aren't using them

We don’t use passphrases with our keys, so need to be able to bypass passing one on the command line.

I’ve tried passing just --passphrase “”

trying for an empty passphrase or bypass, but just get a bad passphrase error.

Any way to do this? We tested in the gpg4win Windows app and decrypted a file just fine without a passphrase.

Thanks!

Are you sure gpg-agent is running properly?
Check into
gpg-connect-agent --verbose /bye
or
gpg-preset-passphrase
