How to switch between SMIME & PGP

Hello,

How can I switch between SMIME and PGP in the GPGOL plugin? Currently, I can only use SMIME if I prefer SMIME to be checked in settings. I’m running Windows 11 with Outlook via Office365 personal subscription

Hi @bjo101,

you explained already how you can switch between them. So you mean how to switch without going into the settings? If I didn’t miss anything this isn’t possible.

If you have both a valid OpenPGP key and S/MIME certificate, the OpenPGP key will be preferred unless you use set “Prefer S/MIME”.

However, there is a workaround: If you check the option “Always show security approval dialog” and hit “Send” you will get a dialog window where you can switch the automatically chosen key to another one or change the protocol.

But this window will then pop up on every encrypted mail you send
