Help on encrypting files

I have a client who wanted me to encrypt a file and send it to them to decrypt. I have their public key imported to Kleopatra.

But when i send the encrypted file to them, it says decryption failed as the file is encrypted with a key that is not recognized.

I realized that on the sub key details, the key ID for signing and encrypting are different.
Is there a way to make it the same key ID for signing and encrypting?

Dear Joon.

it fine to have subkeys, from your image: only one can be used for encryption.

What you could test is: Can you decrypt the file yourself again?

Ask your client for the error message they are seeing and possibly for the software
and version number they are using.
