Accidentally deleted my private key

Hi,
Im using gpg4usb version 0.3.3. I was attempting to make a backup copy of my private key and somehow managed to remove it instead. Is there some way to recover this information from my system? I’ve got a small amount of BTC locked in a wallet that I cannot access without this key. Sorry about the noob question. Thank you

Hi Tycho,

depending on your setup, there may be places where a file still resides
on the disc itself and only the entry was deleted. The usually way to try recovery is
to hold the system as fast as you can (to prevent actual deletion) and try to work
on the disc in question as directly as a can and apply some low level disc diagnostic
or forensic tool, e.g. something like http://www.sleuthkit.org/.

Bernhard
