Sylpheed Problems: Folders and Imap Accounts

Good morning!

I have installed the gpg4win suite (gpg4win-1.0.2.exe) and tried to setup all tools. Winpt and Gnupgp seem to run fine.

But with Sylpheed I am having a lot of problems. I previously used version 1.0.4 and it worked got. Deinstalled it, before updating and making backups of all mqail folders.

Now with the new version if i want to create my IMAP account it says that the folder could not be created, but Iam puzzled which folder it is talking about? Where does it want to add it? I did not find anything in the configs.

Secondly I have trouble to have my mailbox where I want. It always seems to move between:
C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\User\Anwendungsdaten\Mail\inbox…
and C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\Username\Anwendungsdaten\Syslpheed-claws\Mailboxes\mail\Inbox
(all mail folders and settings)

  • Subfolders of inbox are only correctly displayed if they are in 1) and 2). The path specified in the accountrc file is:
    local_inbox=C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\Username\Anwendungsdaten\Mail\Inbox

Though I changed it manually from that strange #mh folder … anyway this does not seem to make a difference.

Also a lot of options refer to /var/mail which is all unix format and I don’t know where to point these paths :frowning:

1.0.4 worked better for me so far I hope you can help me out :slight_smile:

here also only SC 1.0.4 works under win98 (one problem with nntp, look at postings in this list). For your problem read Message-ID: 20060314194100.220419b4@localhost.localdomain in sylpheed-claws-users@lists.sourceforge.net

I didn’t had a problem with 1.0.4 and i also have no problem with the normal “sylpheed” release.

I also could not find any other version then from this site.
